How Advance is different

The repayment idea is proven. What's new is who it's for and how it works.

Why Advance is different, in five lines

1

For people, not just businesses

Stripe, Shopify and Credit Coop lend to companies. Advance lends to individual earners and AI agents.

2

Repaid from every payment

Not a monthly bill you can forget: each incoming payment repays 20% automatically, in the same second.

3

Not locked to a platform

Stripe Capital only works if you sell on Stripe. Advance works for any income paid to your Advance link.

4

Small, fair, and explained

From $50, a flat 2%, and every decision comes with plain-English reasons.

5

Only possible on Monad

One transaction per payment needs sub-second blocks and fees under a cent. Elsewhere it doesn't pay.

Advance vs a credit card

A credit card is a spending tool that happens to lend. Advance is your own income, early.

Where they meet: Visa already funds card issuers with this repayment model (via Credit Coop). That's the idea behind the Advance card: a credit card on your Advance limit, paid off from the income coming in. It's designed and in the app; issuing real cards needs a card partner.

Who else does something like this

Honest about the neighbours. Some are close; none combine everything.

Traditional fintech

Stripe Capital, Shopify Capital

Lend to merchants, take a % of each day's sales until repaid.

Difference: Same idea as Advance, but only for sellers inside their own platform, and businesses only.

Traditional fintech

Square Loans, PayPal Working Capital

The same, for their own merchants.

Difference: Locked to one platform; not for freelancers or agents.

Earned wage access

DailyPay, EarnIn, Payactiv

Let employees take part of their salary early.

Difference: Your employer has to sign up; mostly US; no freelancers or agents.

Onchain, businesses

Credit Coop (Visa partnership)

Repayment-at-source smart contracts for card issuers and fintechs.

Difference: Businesses only, manual review, large tickets. Advance brings the same model to individuals and agents.

Onchain, receivables

Huma Finance

Lending against receivables and payment flows.

Difference: The closest in crypto, but mostly funds institutions and fintechs rather than individual earners directly.

Onchain, unsecured

3Jane

Unsecured credit lines onchain.

Difference: Underwrites on assets and offchain proofs; repayment isn't taken from income automatically.

Onchain, institutional

Maple, Goldfinch, Wildcat, Clearpool

Undercollateralised loans to companies.

Difference: Large loans, repayment enforced offchain by legal agreements.

Onchain credit scores

Spectral, Cred Protocol

Score wallets.

Difference: A score only: no lending, no repayment.

What only Advance puts together

Stripe / Shopify CapitalCredit CoopAdvance
For individuals and AI agents
Repays from every incoming payment, automatically
Works outside one platform
Small amounts from $50
Every decision explained
No wallet or seed phrase to start

Small amounts, repaid per payment, only make economic sense on a chain as fast and cheap as Monad. That's why nobody has done this for individuals before.
